On April 22, 2023, China Healthy Birth Science West Tour (Shaanxi province) in conjunction with Seminar on Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Pediatric Diseases, hosted by China Healthy Birth Science Association (CHBSA) and Women and Children Clinical Branch of CHBSA, and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), were held in Xi 'an. Liu Xiaohong, Deputy Director of Women and Children Clinical Branch of CHBSA and discipline leader of pediatrics from the FAH, chaired the opening ceremony. With the theme of "Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Pediatric Diseases", more than 1,200 pediatricians nationwide gathered and attended this meeting.

Professor Gou Wenli from the FAH, Vice President of CHBSA and Chairman of Women and Children Clinical Branch, delivered a speech. She reviewed the work of China Healthy Birth Science West Tour in the past 10 years, hoping that all members can persistently improve medical health service capacity and promote the policy of balanced distribution of high-quality medical resources in grassroot medical institutions.

Subsequently, Bao Xinhua from Peking University First Hospital, Wang Baoxi from Tangdu Hospital of Air Force Medical University, Sun Xin from Xijing Hospital, Qian Suyun from Beijing Children's Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, Mao Zhiqin from Shengjing Hospital affiliated to China Medical University, Yang Xiaodong from Children's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Liu Xiaohong, Song Ge, Zhou Xihui and Xing Junwei from the FAH and other prestigious experts in the field of pediatrics and child healthcare delivered academic lectures covering the topics of standardized diagnosis and treatment of central nervous system infection and convulsion, and standardized diagnosis and treatment of constipation and diarrhea in children, identification of critical illness in children, precision treatment of asthma in children, research progress on diagnosis and treatment of incomplete Kawasaki disease, and prevention and treatment of neonatal encephalopathy. The lecture contents met the actual clinical needs of pediatrics, focusing upon the latest advances in related fields and exploring the development trend.

Targeting the grassroot pediatricians with practical themes and topics, this meeting aims to improve the standardized diagnosis and treatment of common pediatric diseases and build up an academic exchange and learning platform for physicians nationwide, which contributes to enhance the diagnostic and treatment levels of Chinese pediatricians and significantly improves the influence of pediatrics discipline in FAH.
