During June 17-19, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Association and Chinese Society of Digital Medicine and organized by Nanjing Hospital Affiliated to Nanjing Medical University, “The 6th National Annual Conference on Digital Medicine & The 1st International Digital Medicine and Medical 3D Printing Conference” was held in Jinling Conference Center in Nanjing with 1,000 people present, and domestic and foreign famous academicians, experts and scholars were invited to give lectures on digital medicine frontiers at the conference.
Liu Jun, Professor of Medical Imaging Center of our hospital was invited to deliver a speech at the closing ceremony as the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Digital Medicine and was elected as member of International Society of Digital Medicine and the Editorial Board member of Journal of Digital Medicine.
In recent years, digital medicine and medical 3D printing technology have developed in full swing and the development of basic scientific research and clinical translational medicine has been constantly deepened. With rapidity, accuracy, design ability and specialization in making complex shape objects, digital medicine and medical 3D printing technology have a broad application prospect in the medical field. The combination of digital medicine and clinical medicine has been increasingly widely used in the disease diagnosis and preoperative planning, and gradually used in the design and construction of personalized implants, 3D printed cells and tissues and organs. At this academic conference, academic discussions on various scientific researches and clinical applications in digital medicine and medical 3D printing were conducted and an international academic organization - International Society of Digital Medicine was established, which will greatly enhance the promotion and clinical application of digital medicine and medical 3D printing and contribute to medical and health services.
