Sponsored by Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, School of Public Policy & Management of Tsinghua University and Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health and jointly undertook by US-China Health Summit organization and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, the 6th US-China Health Summit kicked off on September 2 in Zhangba Hotel in Xi’an. The themes of Healthy China and Healthy World were played by more than 1,600 participating representatives from National Health and Family Planning Commission, Shaanxi provincial government, Xi’an municipal government, US-China Health Summit, international health industries and enterprises, Xi’an Jiaotong University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University and its cooperative hospitals according to the topic of “innovation-driven development for public health”.
With wide contents, the number and size of participants were unprecedented. Apart from the main forum of Healthy China and Deepening Medical Reforms, representatives also participated in the discussion and exchange in eight parallel sessions such as US-China public health, modern hospital management, frontier medical technology, healthy city, prevention and control of stroke, precision medicine, Internet+ integrative medicine and innovation and entrepreneurship competition & healthy investment and financing.
The president summit forum about modern hospital management hosted by Shi Bingyin, President of our hospital, was one of the most popular parts with all seats occupied and enthusiastic discussion atmosphere. With high-rise strategic dialogue of the summit, leadership development and applied research, exchange and cooperation about relevant fields of medical treatment and public health between present and future leaders of China, America and other countries were promoted to facilitate the development of global health.
On the morning of September 4, the three-day conference concluded successfully. As the undertaker, Shi Bingyin, President of our hospital, briefly introduced the development history of our hospital in the closing ceremony. He also thanked participating leaders and experts for taking the best technologies, the newest ideas and the most cutting-edge scientific researches to Xi’an and wished an everlasting friendship between China and America.
The 6th US-China Health Summit coincided with the new blueprint of Healthy China. With the efforts of sponsors, Xi’an Jiaotong University and the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, high-rise strategic dialogue about health has been realized between China and America, which provides a gluttonous feast for reinforcing exchanges of medical treatment and public health, promoting the development of global health and realizing the goal of Healthy China.
