Recently, National Cancer Center released the list of the first-batch National Demonstration Affiliations for Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was successfully selected, becoming one of the first batch of National Demonstration Affiliations for Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer.

Founded in 1956, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of the earliest major departments established in our hospital. For over 60 years, through unremitting efforts of generations of obstetricians and gynecologists, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has gradually developed into the leading discipline with high technology, comprehensive functions, complete equipment and standardized service among tertiary hospitals in Northwest China, ranking first for several consecutive years in this region. In September, 2022, the department was awarded the title of "MDT Demonstration Affiliations for Malignant Gynecological Tumors" by Professional Committee of Gynecological Tumor of China Anti-Cancer Association. To achieve the goal of cnonstructing National Medical Center and becoming grade A clinical discipline, Ma Ding, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, was appointed as a "dual-employed academician" of our hospital. With tremendous assistance and guidance of Academician Ma Ding, "Academician Ma Ding Northwest Studio" and "Shaanxi Sub-center of National Clinical Research Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology" were established.

The success of becoming one of the first-batch National Demonstration Affiliations for Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Ovarian Cancer can never be achieved without unremitting efforts of different departments. The department will further promote the standardized diagnosis and treatment and quality control of ovarian cancer, continuously improvestandardized diagnosis and treatment levels of ovarian cancer, persistently enhance comprehensive treatment capability for ovarian cancer patients and safeguard the health and happiness of thousands of families.
