On the afternoon of November 6, 2022, Professor Kailash Kumar Bhandari from Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital and three colleagues paid a visit to our hospital for academic exchanges. Zou Yuliang, Executive President of East District, met with the guests. Guo Yong, Director of Department of Comprehensive Administration, Du Yuefeng, Deputy Director of Department of Business Development, Sha Huanchen, Director of Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, and staff from relevant departments attended the meeting.

Professor Kailash Kumar Bhandari first introduced the development of Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital. Founded in 1998, Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital is a non-profit hospital dedicated to providing affordable and high-quality medical services to patients. He stressed that China and Nepal have established a long history of friendship and partnership. At present, the "Belt and Road Initiative" has brought new opportunities for mutual cooperation between two countries. He previously advanced studies in China and helped the Nepalese people with medical knowledge learned here. Such friendship will endure forever. Professor Kailash Kumar Bhandari extended an invitation to welcome Chinese counterparts to visit Nepal for closer exchanges and cooperation.

President Zou Yuliang extended a warm welcome to Professor Kailash Kumar Bhandari and his colleagues, and introduced the development history of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU and the development profile of the East District under the multi-hospital districtstrategy, and then watched the propaganda video of our hospital. He highlighted that our hospital would further strengthen exchanges with Nepal Orthopaedic Hospital in the future. At present,remote consultation center has been established in the East District of our hospital, and online consultation conditions are fully available. Subsequently, bilateral sides could deliver online exchanges and cooperation, aiming to promote common progress and improvement of medical levels between two hospitals and bring concrete benefits to the Chinese and Nepalese people.

After the meeting, Professor Kailash Kumar Bhandari and his colleagues visited Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery in East District accompanied by relevant staff. Two sides had in-depth exchanges regarding disciplinary development, talent training, follow-up exchanges and cooperation,etc.
