II. Program overview
Excellent Youth Science Fund Program (Overseas)
(I) Program overview
Since 2021, to scale up the introduction and cultivation of talents through scientific funds and attract overseas excellent young talents to return to China (come to China) for a job, the National Nature Science Foundation of China has delivered the National Nature Science Foundation Excellent Youth Science Fund Program (Overseas), also named “Excellent Youth (Overseas)”. It aims to attract and encourage overseas excellent young scholars who have achieved good performance in the nature science and engineering technology and more to return to China (come to China) for a job, allowing them to independently select the research direction for innovative research, for the purpose of cultivating a batch of excellent academicians expected to the world frontier of science and technology.
(II) Funding approach
1. Amount: RMB 1-3 million;
2. Period: 3 years.
(III) Conditions for application
1. Compliance to the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, with good scientific morality, practicing the scientist spirit of the new era;
2. Born after January 1, 1982 (inclusive);
3. Awarded the doctoral degree;
4. Research direction focusing on the nature science and engineering technology, among others;
5. Before April 15, 2022, generally in the official position of teaching or science research in overseas colleges and universities, science research institutes and R&D companies for more than 36 consecutive months;released from the service year limitations if with the doctoral degree and specially outstanding performance;
6. Obtained science research or technological achievements recognized by the peer experts, with a potential to become an academic leader or excellent talent in the field;
7. The candidates have not been full-time working in China, or returned to China (came to China) for a job after January 1, 2021. Upon the receipt of the funding approval notice, the candidates will leave from the current overseas positions or be unemployed, and will return to China (come to China) for a full-time job for no less than 3 years.

XJTU Top Youth Talent Program
(I) Program overview
“Top Youth Talent Support Program” is a strategic project for the team of teachers in XJTU to cultivate and attract a batch of excellent young talents to form an echelon of discipline leaders, advance the construction of the world class universities, engagement and collaboration of other talent programs.

Excellent Youth Talent Recruitment Program
(I) Post class and condition
1. Excellent youth talents. Doctoral degree, under the age of 32 years old or 35 years if very excellence; who have made great achievements in relevant fields, and rank first in the academic level among peers.
2. Post doctorate. Doctoral degree (within 3 years after being awarded the Doctoral degree, in principle), under the age of 32 years old or 35 years if very excellence; who have made great achievements in relevant fields. Post doctorate is subject to three classes: discipline, project and joint program. Each post doctorate must be in the full-time post.
(II) Remunerations
1. Salary
For excellent youth talents, basic annual salary is not less than RMB 300000/year; after theypassthe interim assessment, the monthly salary will be increased by RMB 2000-4000; together with the special talent allowance equal to RMB 20000/year.
For post doctorates, discipline post doctorates enjoy the basic annual salary of no less than RMB 160000/year together with the special talent allowance equal to RMB 20000/year. For project/joint post doctorates, basic annual salary will be fixed and borne by their teams or cooperation units.
2. Research bonus: Those qualified for the assessment during the term shall be entitled to the research performance bonus, subject to the relevant rules of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
3. Social insurance:Theemployers will be entitled to social insurance and housing fund and more in accordance with relevant national provisions.
4. Science research support: The employers are allowed to apply for the hospital science research fund, clinical research subject, teaching reform project, among others.Enrolled into “Top Youth Talent Support Program”, the qualified persons will be entitled to the funds for the launch of science research, apartment for talents or placement funds and other supports.
5. Housing allowance: Youth talents and discipline post doctorates are provided with the rental allowance equal to RMB 1500/month.
Other High-level Talent Recruitment Program
We welcome other high-level talents, including strategic scientists including national academicians, leading talents including outstanding national youth and excellent talents including excellent national talents, as well as well-known scholars and discipline leaders in their fields. This is a long-term program without the limitations in the number. For special cases, subject to the tailored scheme.
