From August 31 to September 4, 2019, the annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) was grandly held in Paris, France. Shi Rui and Li Guoliang, physicians from Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of our hospital were invited to attend the congress.

ESC Congress 2019 is held together with the World Congress of Cardiology (WCC), with the spotlight of "Global Cardiovascular Health". More than 30,000 cardiovascular physicians around the world gathered in Paris to share and discuss the latest research progress in cardiology.

Physicians Shi Rui and Li Guoliang delivered lectures on the research achievements in the fields of the incidence of arrhythmia and assessment of risk factors during pregnancy, and novel strategies for radiofrequency catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation,etc., which captivated extensive interests and aroused heated discussions from the participants, demonstrating the diagnosis and treatment levels of cardiovascular medicine team from our hospital in the field of arrhythmia.
