On October 21, 2018, invited by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), several professors from Department of Radiation Therapy of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University went to San Antonio, America to attend the 60thAnnual Meeting of ASTRO. They are Chief Physician Liu Zi, Deputy Chief Physician Liu Rui, Attending Physician Meng Du and Master Zhang Kaishuo. They have been selected for poster demonstration during the meeting.
At the meeting, posters of gynecological oncology presented by Chief Physician Liu Zi and Master Zhang Kaishuo, posters of radiation therapy of glioma submitted by Deputy Chief Physician Liu Rui and posters of radiation therapy of liver cancer provided by Attending Physician Meng Du attracted worldwide practitioners and won unanimous praises from the attendees. This meeting covered a wide range of contents, brought together the latest advances in the basic research and clinical applications of the world’s oncology radiotherapy in recent years, and witnessed a group of excellent young and middle-aged radiotherapy workers. The attendees have benefited a lot from the meeting, where not only enables them to know the latest trends in the development of oncology radiation therapy, but also makes them communicate with colleagues at home and abroad. What’s more, it can also enhance recognition of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, thus laying a solid foundation for its subsequent cooperation with world-leading hospitals.
