From August 31 to September 4, 2023, Professor Yang Jian, Director of Department of Radiology of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), led a team of 8 members to attend the 21st Annual Scientific Meeting of Asian and Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology 2023 (AOSPR 2023) in Hong Kong.
The annual meeting was hosted by Asian and Oceanic Society for Paediatric Radiology, and the venue was located in Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. Scholars and student representatives from tens of countries/regions around the world, such as the United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia, attended the annual meeting. At the meeting, all team members showcased recent research results with all participants by oral presentations and posters. In addition, they also exchanged ideas upon specific scientific issues and initially discussed academic cooperation with Dorothy Bulas, a well-known professor from Children's National Hospital in the United States, and Professor Michael Ditchfield from Monash University in Australia.
In Hong Kong, the team visited the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Prince of Wales Hospital, held academic discussion with internationally-renowned experts Professor Wu Xuekui and Professor Wang Yixiang in the field of magnetic resonance imaging, and established mutual visits and joint training mechanisms for students in low-field magnetic resonance imaging, optogenetics and orthopedic imaging, etc.
In the University of Hong Kong, Associate Researcher Jin Chao introduced the profile of Department of Radiology and illustrated research progress in low-dose CT, and Associate Researcher Li Xianjun introduced the team’s research progress in the direction of brain development. Professor Wu Xuekui from the University of Hong Kong shared the team’s research results in the fields of "low field magnetic resonance equipment" and "optogenetics".
In the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Yang Jian led all team members to visit Professor Wang Yixiang's laboratory. Bilateral sides introduced the profile and esearch contents of respective teams. Professor Wang Yixiang explicitly illustrated recent research progress and discussed subsequent cooperation plan.
