On June 1-6, 2018, the American Transplant Congress (ATC) was held in Seattle, USA, and Professor Xue Wujun of Kidney Transplantation Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the congress along with his team members under invitation. Additionally, Xiang Heli, Associate Chief Physician, Ding Chenguang, Attending Physician also attended this congress. Ding Chenguang, Attending Physician gave a speech on behalf of the team in the congress and presented the latest scientific research achievements of “Predictive score for DGF based on Hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) variables in kidney transplantation”, which has attracted the attention of domestic and foreign peers. It marked a further refining and sublimation of team's clinical research results after the preparation of theGuidelines for Organ Donation in China-Organ Preservation and In-vitro Machine Perfusion, and theGuidelines for Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Organ Transplantation in China-Guidelines for Preservation of Donor Kidney Donated after Death of Citizen by In-vitro Hypothermic Machine Perfusion. The research was completed under the support of the Clinical Research Center of our hospital.

At present, American Transplantation Congress (ATC), European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT), and The Transplantation Society (TTS) are called three international organ transplantation academic organizations with the most authoritativeness in the world. In each academic conference of the three organizations, it will present some important clinical research results and guidelines. This congress provided a platform for the peers from all over the world for communication of latest clinical tests, academic papers and medical experience.

As one of the few Chinese representatives who gave a speech in the congress, Ding Chenguang, Attending Physician, made a special report in the congress under the guidance of Professor Xue Wujun, reflecting the significant progress made in the Kidney Transplantation Department of our hospital in recent years. This presentationshowed the potential of Kidney Transplantation Department of our hospital on the world stage, indicating that in the future, it will make new progress in the world. Looking further ahead, the transplantation team of the First Affiliated Hospital will strive to develop, stay true to the mission and forge ahead under the leading of Professor Xue Wujun, the academic leader of transplantation team, and with the core of “Advancing Chinese Model, Establishing Chinese System, and Promoting Chinese Technology”. It will establish a number of world-class centers by cooperating with domestic transplantation centers, and build the Kidney Transplantation Department into a world-class transplantation center.
