On May 25-29, 2018, the 16th World Congressof World Association of Infant Mental Health (WAIMH) was held in Roma Congress Centre, Italy. In this year, over 2,000 experts in infant psychology, scholars in pediatrics and neurosciences from more than 70 countries and regions attended the conference, in which the recent research progress in infant mental health field and revision of guidelines were presented.
Professor Li Hui gave a 45-minute speech in the congress, which introduced the original results of the study on individual family rehabilitation and mental intervention for neonates with cerebral palsy. Additionally, two oral presentations and three moderated posters were delivered in the congress to introduce the results in research on influence mechanism of mother's anxiety and depression on neonatal behavior. Dr. Tawali and the postgraduates of the team also attended the congress.
During the congress, Professor Li Hui had an in-depth discussion and communication on her works with the world famous professors from Boston Children's Hospital of Harvard Medical School, the Royal Maternity Hospital of Melbourne Australia, the Children’s Hospital of Florence Italy and other hospitals.
