On January 14, 8 professors and leaders, including Doctor Ling Xuefeng, director of Medical Center of Stanford University, Chen Limin, CEO of Hangzhou Yunjian Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Luo Guowei, Vice General Manager of Xixian New Area of Xi’an Jiaotong University Technology Innovation Port Development Holding Co., Ltd., Doctor Jiang Shan, came to our hospital for academic exchange on the invitation of Secretary Geng Jianping. The meeting is chaired by Wu Shengli, Vice Director of Department of Science and Technology, and attended by President Shi Bingyin and other researchers.

At the meeting, Doctor Ling Xuefeng made an academic report, titled “Translational Medicine Based on Big Data Intelligent System” and interacted with teachers and students at the meeting on the intelligent development trend of health management and his current research. He talked about the concept, case, and future of big data, and introduced collection, integration, analysis, and algorithm implementation of big data by means of abundant cases of medical disease, and explained the concept, features, and technology system of big data. Doctor Ling Xuefeng shared the mission of Stanford University, US health policy program, and talent management measures with the audience. His speech brought us new ideas and understandings on big data, promoted interdisciplinary and multi-field learning experience of scientific and technical personnel, and improved problem solving abilities with big data technology.

In the afternoon, Doctor Ling interviewed some young researchers and graduate students who showed interest in his working field, in an attempt to select some potential researchers to join his team.

Recently, scientific research of our hospital has achieved rapid development. It will help us broaden visions, grasp the trend of scientific development, and lead academic forefront issues by strengthening exchange and cooperation with internationally famous universities like Stanford University.
