Zhao Weigong graduated from Health Science Center of XJTU in 1989, and has been engaged in clinical and scientific research work in orthopedics for 30 years, especially in the field of spinal surgery. He has performed a large quantity of clinical operations and scientific research, accumulated abundant clinical experience, carried out staging therapy of intervertebral disc diseases. He specializes in the management of various difficult and complicated spinal diseases, such as the upper cervical vertebral diseases, ossification of thoracic ligamentumflavum, scoliosis and kyphosis, severe spinal fracture complicated with nerve injury, sacrococcygeal tumor and modified surgery of intervertebral disc with satisfactory curative effects. He studied abroad twice and conducted postdoctoral research.Shaanxi Province at the time of the establishment of the Medical Imaging Professional Committee of the Chinese Women's Medical Association.

Zhao Weigong published over 50 academic papers including 4 in SCI-indexed journals. He hosted 2 Natural Science Foundation of Shaanxi Province, and participated in teaching task for international students and edited 1 textbook for international students.
