General information
Shi Lei is a MD, postdoctoral fellow of East Tennessee State University in the United States and master tutor. In 2008, she graduated and obtained doctoral degree from XJTU. She has been mainly engaged in the immune pathogenesis of viral hepatitis. She studied as a Visiting Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, and Research Scientist at Virginia University.

Academic and scientific achievements
Shi Lei has hosted 3 national-level scientific research projects, 2 provincial-level scientific research projects, 2 scientific research projects of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU and participated in Major Special Research Project for Infectious Diseases during the 11th, 12th and 13th Five-Year Plan of Ministry of Science and Technology. She has published over 20 articles in SCI-indexed journals, such as PNAS (IF=9.6), Cancer Research (IF=9.3) and J Immunol (IF=4.5). She delivered academic presentations at the annual meetings of American Association for Cancer Research, Asia-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver and Chinese Society of Infectious Diseases.
Awards and honors
In 2009, Shi Lei received the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Shaanxi Province (Basic and Clinical Study of Family Cluster HBV Infection with Adverse Outcomes) (5th applicant). In 2016, she received the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Shaanxi Province (Study of the Mechanism of HBV Intrauterine Infection and Effect on Pregnancy Outcome) (4th applicant). In 2018, she received the First Prize in the thesis competition of Annual Meeting Hepatology of Chinese Medical Association (Study of Vertical Transmission of HBV and Prevention Mechanism of HBIG). She obtained the honorary title of Excellent Teachers of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU from 2018 to 2019.
