General information
Bai Jigang acquired a bachelor's degree in clinical medicine and a doctor's degree in surgery from Xi 'an Jiaotong University in 2000 and 2006. He has been working in Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University since graduation. He studied in the University of California San Francisco and Mayo Clinic from 2015 to 2016 as a visiting fellow, focusing on magnetic compression cholangioenterostomy, laparoscopy and robot-assisted hepatobiliary and pancreatic minimally invasive surgery. He has been engaged in diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases for a long time, including the treatment of benign, malignant and congenital hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases, such as gallbladder calculi, intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct calculi, congenital biliary abnormalities, gallbladder cancer, liver cancer, hilar cholangiocarcinoma, distal cholangiocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, portal hypertension, acute and chronic pancreatitis, splenic diseases, etc. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery for biliary calculi, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and splenic diseases, and comprehensive and standardized treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic tumors.

Dr. Bai has undertaken 1 National Natural Science Foundation of China project, participated in 5 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, 1 scientific research project of the hospital and 1 scientific research project of the university. He has published nearly 30 academic articles in SCI-indexed journals and core Chinese journals. He participated in 3 monographs and textbooks of surgery. He was awarded the second prize of the 10th Excellent Academic Thesis in Natural Science of Shaanxi Province in 2008 and the third prize of the 5th 505 Anti-cancer Fund Excellent Thesis of Shaanxi Anti-cancer Association in 2010.
