Professor Wang, Director of the Blood Transfusion Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, graduated from Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center (the former Xi’an Medical University) in July 1986, and engaged in the clinical care in the Hematology Department of the Hospital after graduation. She has served as the Director of the Blood Transfusion Department since 2001, and long engaged in the technical operation and management work of clinical blood transfusion, and focused on the combination of clinical expertise and blood transfusion techniques. In terms of the department management, she has established the quality management system for clinical use of blood, introduced the informatization management system of blood transfusion, actively publicized the new concept of blood transfusion, promoted the new technique for blood transfusion and regulated the blood use of medical personnel. The level and rationality of clinical use of blood of the Hospital have therefore increased year by year. Meanwhile, she also holds  province-wide academic conferences and training classes for blood transfusion (both national level and provincial level) every year, and carried out training lectures about blood transfusion and supervision in the central blood banks and medical institutions in various prefectures and cities, which cultivated a large number of backbones of blood transfusion for grassroots units. She took the lead to establish the initial standards about the establishment and the quality control of blood transfusion departments in Shaanxi Province, and played the pivotal role in the regulation of management of blood for clinical use and improvement of clinical blood transfusion in Shaanxi Province.

Professor Wang has participated in two national projects, held and participated in four provincial projects; published over 30 academic papers and served as editor-in-chief of one works and editors of three works. She has carried out and generalized three new medical techniques.
