Professor Zhang is a doctoral tutor in Radiology and nuclear medicine, forensic science and biomedical engineering, currently serves as the Director of the Talent Training Department of Xi'an Jiaotong University Health Science Center and the Deputy Director of the Department of Radiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Professor Zhang Ming has published 63 SCI papers, including 52 papers as the correspondent author. He is the editor-in-chief of Central Nervous System Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, deputy editor-in-chief of the textbook Radiology (International Students) and Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and the main translator of Advanced Imaging of Brain Tumors. He has presided over 5 national science funds, 1 national publishing fund, 1 post-doctoral fund, 1 major basic research project of natural science in Shaanxi Province, and 1 Shaanxi education reform project to guide students to obtain a number of national science funds.

He was awarded the MOOC course project of the People's Health Publishing House, New Brain Science and Imaging Technology which was launched. He has a joint Ph.D. program with Hopkins, Harvard University, University of Maryland, University of Toronto, and University of Washington, Louis.
