Chief Physician Guo Youmin is the leader of the National Clinical Point Specialist in Imaging and Nuclear Medicine. In the past 40 years of medical work, Professor Guo has mastered the comprehensive imaging diagnosis of X-ray, CT, MRI and PET-CT, especially in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of difficult diseases of the respiratory system, including early lung cancer and other benign and malignant tumors of the chest, various lung infections, rheumatic diseases, lung damage, idiopathic pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, granulomatous and vascular inflammatory diseases, pulmonary embolism and pulmonary vascular disease, small airway disease, pulmonary developmental disease, mediastinum disease, diaphragmatic disease, etc. He made his consultations to the whole country, who is also highly praised by industry peers inside and outside the province.

What's more, he undertakes the teaching tasks of undergraduates, masters and doctoral students, and trains more than 100 masters and doctors. What's more, all his graduated students serve in three levels of hospitals in and outside the province, and about half of them have become subject backbones, experts or leaders in disciplines.

Chief Physician Guo Youmin has published more than 250 papers including SCI papers and undertaken more than 15 projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, International Exchange Project Fund of the Ministry of Education, Doctoral Fund, National Health Care Commission Industry Specialist, Health Key Commission Clinical Key Discipline Construction Project, National Publications Fund Subproject, and Shaanxi Provincial key projects, sub-projects of major tuberculosis projects in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. He is the editor-in-chief, the main translator, the editorial staff, and the translators for more than 20 monographs.

Guo Youmin has applied three invention patents and two software copyrights, and won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and the second prize of Chinese Medicine, the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Health, and the third prize of Science and Technology Progress of the Ministry of Health.
