General information
Professor Dang Yaping is a Ph.D. in Imaging Medicine and Nuclear Medicine and a Master Instructor. She has been engaged in nuclear medicine clinical, teaching and research since 1983, set up China's first PET/CT center in Xi'an Chang'an Hospital in 2002, acted as a pioneerin China's PET/CT clinical application. What’s more, she has unique insights into the value of PET/CT in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, the artifact recognition of PET/CT and the role of PET/CT in the localization of epileptic foci.

Academic and scientific achievements
She has published more than 20 papers on clinical application of PET/CT, and given presentations at international conferences in Bangladesh, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the United States, and Europe. In 2007, she published a monograph on The Principles of PET/CT Technology and Oncology Applications as an associate editor. From 2007 to 2011, she was recommended by the IAEA for four times as a member of the FNCA (Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia) PET and cyclotron project team to go to Malaysia and participate in the conference on behalf of China and participated in the development of quality control standards for clinical, instruments and drugs.
