On September 10, 2022, the results of the 8th China International College Students “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Shaanxi Province were released. Our hospital grabbed 6 medals in this competition, including 3 gold medals in the higher education main track (1 medal in postgraduate innovation group and 2 in undergraduate innovation group) and 3 bronze medals in the industrial topic track.
The project entitled Niuaike—Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation System, Intelligent Life Support Equipment (guided by Professor Lyu Yi, Professor Yan Yang and Zheng Xinglong) possessed the characteristics of long duration, mild complications, slight damage and high efficacy. The equipment has the functions of circulatory and respiratory assistance while providing long-term cardiopulmonary support, thereby saving valuable time for the rescue of critically ill patients. The project of Raymage·Liver Shield Non-invasive Accurate Assessment Platform for Liver Function (guided by Professor Liu Chang and Wan Yong) integrated clinical, mathematical, imaging and artificial intelligence disciplines to resolve bottleneck issues in clinical settings and deliver early screening of liver cirrhosis. It, for the first time, proposed and designed liver smoothness and quantitative assessment system, which improved the standardization, accuracy and intelligence of liver function examination. The project entitled "Dream Hand-Pioneers of Novel Single-port Laparoscopic Technology" (guided by Ma Feng and Li Yu) in the undergraduate innovation group revolutionized traditional single-port laparoscopic technology and implemented the concept of enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS). These three projects received the gold medals in the higher education main track.
The projects entitled Targeted Membrane—Development of a Novel Nano-carrier for Anti-cancer Drugs (guided by Professor Chu Dake and Professor Ge Zhishen), Artificial Intelligence Technology Accelerates the Care for Aging Population (guided by Professor Cui Wei and Professor Xin Jingmin) and Intelligent Medical Treatment—Fighting for COVID-19 Pandemic and Attentive Care for Patients (guided by Professor Zhang Yuanyuan) received the bronze medals in the industrial topic track.
China International College Students “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition aims to inspire college students' enthusiasm for innovation and entrepreneurship, enhance their awareness and capability of innovation and entrepreneurship, elevate the innovation and entrepreneurship capability of both teachers and students and create a favorable environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. As a national competition, it has become a pivotal carrier and platform for deepening innovation, entrepreneurship and education reform, which is also an essential event to implement the national strategy of "Entrepreneurship and Innovation for All".
