Three experts serve as members of Expert Committee of Clinical Antimicrobial Susceptibility Breakpoint Study and Standard Formulation of National Health Commission

On August 6, 2022, the inaugural meeting of Expert Committee of Clinical Antimicrobial Susceptibility Breakpoint Study and Standard Formulation of National Health Commission was successfully held. Chinese standard system of clinical antimicrobial drug susceptibility breakpoint was officially launched.

At the meeting, Academician Shang Hong from the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University and Academician Jiang Jiandong from Institute of Medical Biotechnology of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences served as the academic advisors. Zhang Shuyang, President of Peking Union Medical College Hospital acted as the honorary chairman. Xu Yingchun, Director of Clinical Laboratory served as the chairman. A total of 55 experts in the fields of clinical microbiology, clinical pharmacology and clinical infectious diseases nationwide were selected as members of this national expert committee. Chen Wei, Zhao Yingren and Feng Weiyi from our hospital served as members of the expert committee.

The expert committee aims to integrate frequent clinical problems and breakpoint study methods of drug susceptibility, establish and improve the breakpoint system in China, and better guide the selection of clinical drugs. Besides, it will actively participate in the control work of global antimicrobial drug resistance, make China's voice heard, propose China's plan and implement the strategy of Healthy China.
