From July 15 to 17, 2022 Academic Annual Meeting of Kidney Transplantation Branch of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care in conjunction with the 6^th China Kidney Transplantation Forum were successfully held in Chengdu. 

Professor Xue Wujun, President-designate of Chinese Society of Organ Transplantation of Chinese Medical Association and Honorary Chairman of Kidney Transplantation Branch of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, served as the Honorary Chairman of this annual meeting. Professor Tian Puxun, Chairman of Kidney Transplantation Branch of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, was the Chairman. Professor Lin Tao, Director of Kidney Transplantation Center of West China Hospital, was the Executive Chairman of this meeting. The meeting was held offline and in-person, and the main venue and sub-venue were broadcast live simultaneously. Dou Kefeng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University and Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Chen Shi, Director of the 4^th and 5^th Chinese Society of Organ Transplantation of Chinese Medical Association, and more than 200 consultants, deputy directors, standing committee members, members and representatives of Kidney Transplantation Branch were invited to attend the meeting.

Academician Dou Kefeng brought an intriguing lecture entitled "Advances in Xenotransplantation at Home and Abroad", comprehensively and deeply illustrating the development process, current hot spots and frontier issues in the field of xenotransplantation. Professor Stefan G.Tullius gave a lecture entitled "Responding to the Aging Crisis in Organ Transplantation", and delivered in-depth analysis of the influence of aging donor organs on organ transplantation and put forward effective solutions. Director Ma Xudong gave a report entitled "Promoting High-quality Development of Human Organ Donation and Transplantation", and indicated that the quality of organ donation and transplantation in China had been increasingly elevated in recent years through a series of data analysis. Professor Xue Wujun gave a lecture entitled "Innovation and Development of Kidney Transplantation Technology in China", and introduced "organ donation profession, OPO discipline construction and transplantation discipline systematization" is the final path of organ transplantation in China, and elucidated the donor organs of kidney transplantation and core transplantation technologies in China. 

After the keynote lecture, all participants delivered in-depth academic exchange regarding 9 different topics in the field of kidney transplantation including clinical research of kidney transplantation, transplantation immunity, living kidney transplantation, kidney transplantation infection, evaluation and maintenance of donation organs, pediatric kidney transplantation, kidney transplantation pathology, organ donation and coordination, and kidney transplantation nursing. A total of 17 professional and technical staff from Department of Kidney Transplantation and OPO of our hospital participated in chairing the meeting, delivering speeches and academic discussions.
