On April 9, the inaugural meeting of Professional Committee of Neuroendocrine Tumor of Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association was successfully held in Xi 'an. Song Zhangjun, Chairman of Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association, General Secretary Xue Gang, Professor Bai Chunmei from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor Ma Qingyong, Professor Li Enxiao, Professor Wu Zheng, Professor Wang Zheng and Professor Wu Yinying from the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) attended the meeting, which proceeded both online and offline. More than 20 well-known experts and professors from Shaanxi province attended the meeting in-person, and over 100 members from more than 20 medical affiliations in Shaanxi province participated in the meeting online.
During the meeting, Chairman, Deputy Chairman and members of the 1st Professional Committee of Neuroendocrine Tumor of Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association were elected. Professor Wang Zheng from Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery of our hospital was elected as Chairman, Professor Wu Zheng as Honorary Chairman, Professor Ma Qingyong and Professor Li Enxiao as expert consultants, and Professor Wu Yinying as Deputy Chairman, respectively.
In the inaugural speech, Chairman Wang Zheng hoped that under the leadership of Shaanxi Anti-Cancer Association, multi-disciplinary and hierachical coordination can be conducted through establishing the platform of Professional Committee of Neuroendocrine Tumor to carry out multiple forms of communication and training work, and the "all-in-one" disease platform can be set up based upon the integration of clinical practice and scientific research, aiming to effectively enhance the diagnosis and treatment level of neuroendocrine tumors, extending its scale and strengthening its influence in Shaanxi province.
Immediately after the inaugural meeting, academic meeting of the 1st Professional Committee of Neuroendocrine Tumor was held. Professor Zan Ying from the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU, Professor Zhang Yu from Shaanxi Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Jiang Yi’na and Professor Xu Guiping from the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU gave intriguing academic reports on the internal medicine, surgical diagnosis and treatment, pathological and imaging features of neuroendocrine tumors, respectively. Professor Li Wei and Professor Dong Xuyuan from the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU shared comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of typical cases of functional and non-functional neuroendocrine tumors.
