"2021 National Annual Meeting of Capsule Endoscopy in conjunction with the 11th New Technology Progress Forum on Diagnosis, Treatment, Irrigation and Disinfection of Digestive Endoscopy in Shaanxi Province and 2021 Annual Meeting of Professional Committee of Cancer Endoscopy of Shaanxi Anti-cancer Association", hosted by Shaanxi Anti-cancer Association, Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy of Chinese Medical Association and West Alliance of Medical Education, and co-organized by Department of Gastroenterology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was held from March 18 to 20, 2022. Professor He Shuixiang, Director of Department of Gastroenterology and Executive Chairman of the meeting presided over the meeting.
Professor Lyu Yi, President of our hospital, gave a welcome speech. Former Chairman and Chairman-designate of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy of Chinese Medical Association, Director of Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy, Chairman of Chinese Society of Internal Medicine of Chinese Medical Association, Vice Chairmen, Standing Committee Members and Members of Chinese Society of Digestive Endoscopy of Chinese Medical Association, 108 prestigious experts and scholars in the field of digestive diseases and digestive endoscopy across China, along with 96 directors and young and middle-aged experts from major hospitals in Shaanxi province, delivered intriguing keynote reports, surgical demonstrations and comments and panel discussions. During the annual meeting, 87 academic reports and 11 ultra-minimally invasive surgical demonstrations from top-notched surgeons in digestive endoscopic surgery were contributed. The topics focused upon novel concepts and technologies of ultra-minimally invasive digestive endoscopic technology, latest basic and clinical research results of capsule endoscope, irrigation and disinfection of digestive endoscope,cooperation between physicians and nurses, and the latest progress on diagnosis and treatment of refractory digestive system diseases, covering all aspects of digestive endoscope, and diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases. In the annual meeting, a press conference of the latest products of related enterprises in northwest China was held. Elite Case Competition in Digestive Endoscopy was jointly organized with the editorial office of Chinese Journal of Digestive Endoscopy, which attracted tens of thousands of national peers online.
A team of 20 experts with associate senior title or above, young backbones, head nurses from Department of Gastroenterology of our hospital was selected to participate in the themed lecture, chairing and commenting and panel discussion. For the first time, Department of Gastroenterology of our hospital fully demonstrated the characteristics in the diagnosis and treatment of digestive endoscopy, digestive intervention, endoscopic sensing control and comprehensive perioperative nursing management, especially the ultra-minimally invasive technology of digestive tract tumors, professional advantages of capsule endoscopy, and innovative engineering medicinetechnology in recent years, at a national academic conference.
