This year, we fought against the Covid-19 pandemic.Following the lead of the Party Committee, the staff of The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University fought on with unwavering will, contributed wisdom, demonstrated our responsibility and commitment to mission. We took on responsibility of pandemic prevention and control as well as providing medical services to ensure meeting rigid medical needs. We facilitated patients access to medical treatment, creatively enrich the connotation of online services. 486 elite doctors and medical workers assisted Xi’an Chest Hospital, and 601 medical workers in dozens of teams participated in the city's nucleic acid collection. The rest of the staff stuck to their position in the hospital, quarantined staff worked online, with everyone’s great devotion and dedication to work, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University hold up high the banner of anti-pandemic. In this magnificent fight against the Covid-19, the people of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University built an indestructible Great Wall of War for the people, and wrote a chapter of grand ambition and heroism in the history of the hospital.
Time grows old with the spring, the sun and the moon tried to outshine each other.Looking back on 2021, at the historical moment of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, we are at a key moment of the establishment of a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and the start of a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way. Our faculty kept the spirit of westward academic relocation and relocation to Shaanxi Province during resistance against Japanese aggression. Guided by “Party Building”, with “Healthy China” as mission, with “High-quality Development” as the theme, and “National Medical Center Construction” as an opportunity,, we are determined to innovate, overcome difficulties, fulfill the goals of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and strive for a new era. This year, we solemnly celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, absorbing the strength of forging ahead, and continuing the centennial aspiration.The centennial achievements are thrilling, and a hundred years of experience is inspiring. A series of activities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party were held one after another. The Party is strictly governed, the National Medical Center is mobilized, and the summer cadre meeting have been held one after another. The central group of the Party Committee has deepened its learning, leadership plays an increasing role in political field, Party members and cadres further their leadership concept and responsibility. An all-round, multi-level, multi-carrier learning and education of Party history further unifies the thinking and concentrates efforts, effectively boosting the confidence and ambition of the hospital's development.
This year, we took advantage of the momentum to make breakthroughs and successfully entered the first batch of "counseling" establishment units of the National Medical Center.Relying on the greatness of the country, the five forces have jointly built a national medical center, the domestically-made ECMO has been successfully applied to the clinic, and the world's first 30W blue laser surgery equipment has been successfully implemented. Cardiovascular, neurological, obstetrics and gynecology, infection, cancer, and psychiatric departments have become the leading construction units of the national regional medical center. Working with the Qinghai Provincial Government, we collaborated to build a regional medical center of national level and built the country's leading plateau clinical medicine "highland".
This year, we worked hard to open a new chapter and firmly promoted construction of the hospital.The East Branch was officially integrated with the General Hospital and it has entered into a quality, homogeneous, integrated, fast-paced development stage.Our hospital in Daxingshan Temple has distinctive characteristics. The main structure of the first phase of the International Land Port Hospital was successfully completed and the cooperation framework agreement on the second phase of National Medical Center project is about to be signed soon.
This year, we focused on high-quality development, thus great achievements has been made.Our scientific research ranking ranks 23rd in the 2020 Fudan University and the first in the northwest part of China. Historical breakthroughs have been made in the quality of papers, the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, and patent conversion. We consolidated the quality of teaching, deepened ideological and political construction of the curriculum, and the teaching reform has achieved fruitful results. Pandemic prevention and control and medical services achieved "win-win result". The DRG payment reform was piloted, and performance management continued to improve. We acted in time to introduce and train 9 high-level talents, and explore the mechanism for training young talents and cadres on the job. Carrying out 18 administrative checks, establishing 11 hospital leadership reception days, setting up the president's mailbox, we continued to solve urgent and worrying problems of patients and employees. The integration of medical insurance and financial windows, the creation of a one-stop service center, the optimization of the image reservation process, the reform of the staff canteen, the external elevator has a direct access to the ward just by swiping the card, a “Recreation Pavillion” is set in family area, the environment has been greatly promoted, making patients comfortable and staff at ease.
The last year has witnessed incredible scenery, and may the year see even fancier views.In 2022, let us be guided by Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, let’s center on patients’ needs to work even harder with relentless efforts, overcome the pandemic with dedication, advance development with a bold-fighting spirit, and continue glory with a down-to-earth attitude.
