On September 9, 13 clinical pharmacists from the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University, the Fifth People's Hospital of Qinghai Province, Jiuquan City People's Hospital, Yiyang Central Hospital, Xi 'an No.9 Hospital, Xi 'an Chest Hospital, Xi’an Lintong People's Hospital, Hancheng People's Hospital, 3201 Hospital and other hospitals successfully passed the graduation assessment, becoming the 14th-batch graduates of Clinical Pharmacist Training Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU).

The assessment expert group consists of experts from Department of Pharmacy, Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary IUC of our hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of XJTU. Feng Weiyi, Director of Department of Pharmacy of our hospital presided over the assessment work. The assessment group evaluated the on-the-spot consultation and case analysis capability of 13 trainees. The training contents, such as teaching medication record, case analysis and literature review, were comprehensively evaluated. The whole process proceeded in an organized pattern, and vivid and tense atmosphere. The trainees received high recognition from the assessment expert group during the session of case analysis. After comprehensive assessment, the expert group fully affirmed the management, relevant systems and the attention paid by hospital leaders to Clinical Pharmacist Training Center in our hospital.

In recent years, traditional concept and working mode of pharmacy are undergoing profound historical changes in hospitals. Clinical pharmacists start to cooperate with physicians to participate in clinical rational drug use and optimize clinical drug treatment regimes, which is becoming a development trend of pharmacy within hospitals in the future. As a Clinical Pharmacist Training Center appointed by National Health Commission, our hospital has successfully completed the training of more than 150 trainees, and has received over 10 new trainees in the upcoming training in October, 2021. Under the care and guidance of relevant hospitals and departments, clinical pharmacists will grow rapidly, providing more comprehensive and professional pharmaceutical services for patients and the wholesociety.
