On January 23, 2021, the 2nd Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance Congress (Shaanxi Cerebrovascular Disease Specialty Alliance) in conjunction with Shaanxi Stroke First Aid Map Quality Control Meeting was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi 'an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Liu Na, Deputy Director of Hospital Administration Department of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Ma Xiancang, Vice President of our hospital, Tian Ye, President of Xi’an No.3 Hospital, and experts from multiple hospitals in Xi 'an were invited to attend the congress. Meantime, member hospitals of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance and Shaanxi Stroke First Aid Map, also participated in the cloud congress through network platforms.
Qu Qiumin, Chairman of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance and Director of Department of Neurology of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU summarized the completion of major work of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance during the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in the past year. Vice President Ma Xiancang proposed that it is necessary to give full play to the advantages of specialty alliance, promote regional development through regional centers, implement national strategies of regional medical development and hierachical diagnosis and treatment, and accomplish the project of reducing 1 million of stroke disability cases, aiming to guarantee stroke prevention and control and even comprehensive prevention and control of chronic diseases in China. Liu Na, Deputy Director of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, stressed that the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases is the top priority of "Healthy China" and "the 14thFive-Year Plan". As the primary disease causing morbidity and mortality in China, Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance has established intimate cooperation with multiple parties through 1-year regional training and prevention network construction, and jointly promoted the prevention and control of stroke in Shaanxi province. In addition to undertaking the prevention and treatment of stroke and standardized diagnosis and treatment in this region, Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance has also carried out a series of clinical studies. During this congress, two multi-center clinical studies, including a multi-center randomized controlled study of the treatment of carotid artery stenosis with straight and tapered stents and a study of the efficacy of edaravone dexcamphorol in endovascular treatment of patients with acute ischemic stroke from 6h to 6-24h after onset, were initiated. High-level clinical trials will significantly improve the quality of regional clinical trials and provide innovative thinking for the prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases.
In the session of academic lecture, Chao Baohua, Director of Stroke Prevention and Treatment Engineering Committee of National Health Commission shared the work plan of National Stroke Prevention and Treatment Project in 2021, and affirmed the work efficiency of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance in 2020. Professor Qu Qiumin delivered a report on the on-site verification work of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance in 2020. Professor Han Jianfeng gave a summary of the quality control work of Shaanxi Stroke First Aid Map in 2020 and the work arrangement in 2021. Professor Wang Xinlai from Xi 'an Central Hospital and Professor Li Jiang from Tangdu Hospital shared the specific analysis of on-site guidance work of stroke center for intravenous thrombolysis, mechanical thrombectomy and bridging treatment, respectively. Professor Jiang Kaifu from Ankang People's Hospital, Professor Wang Xiaocheng from Yulin No.2 Hospital and Professor Chang Mingze from Xi 'an No.3 Hospital summarized the work and shared the experience of regional map construction as the representatives of regional map construction management hospitals in Ankang, Yulin and Xi 'an, respectively. Professor Lin Hong from Xi 'an International Medical Center delivered an academic report on stroke protection and antithrombotic key points. The congress captivated the attention of on-site participants and more than 120,000 online viewers.
During this congress, the work of Shaanxi Stroke Specialty Alliance and Shaanxi Stroke First Aid Map was summarized, and regional stroke prevention and treatment, standardized diagnosis and treatment and stroke center construction remained the main tasks, strivingto make efforts and contributions to building a healthy China and a healthy Shaanxi in 2021.
