Our hospital and Beijing Friendship Hospital jointly host National Training Course for MRI Technicians

From December 10 to 12, 2020, the2nd National Training Course for Standardized Examination and Extended Application for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technicians, jointly hosted by Department of Medical Imaging of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) and Beijing Friendship Hospital, was held in Xi 'an. Yang Jian, Director of Department of Medical Imaging was responsible for the preparation and organization of relevant training activities. Professor Li Zhenlin, Chairman-designate of Society of Imaging Technology of Chinese Medical Association, and Professor Zhao Haitao, Chairman of Society of Imaging Technology of Shaanxi Medical Association delivered training courses and attended the opening ceremony.

This training course is led by internationally-renowned MRI physics experts Professor Zhou Xiaohong and Professor Lin Chen, and domestically well-known MRI application scholars Professor Yang Zhenghan and Professor Yang Jian. Meantime, qualified MRI technicians were invited to give training courses, providing a theoretical and application training platform for front-line MRI technicians. According to the course arrangement, Professor Zhou Xiaohong, Professor Lin Chen, Professor Yuan Ying, Professor Yang Jian, Professor Zhang Ming and other experts delivered lectures, respectively. Meanwhile, Technicians Cao Le, Song Zhefan, Zhang Xianghui, Li Yanan, Hao Hui and Li Junjun from Department of Medical Imaging shared typical cases of MRI scanning.

Nearly 500 MRI technicians (on-line and off-line participants) across the country participated in the training course. Students delivered frequent interaction with the experts, expressing that the courses are diverse in contents and highly rewarding. They also put forward constructive suggestions for the next training course.

Finally, Yang Jian contributed a summary remark, appreciating all experts for their contributions and complimenting all students for their attentive learning attitude.
