From November 26 to 27, "2020 China Stroke Conference in conjunction with Summary Meeting of Stroke Prevention Project" hosted by Stroke Prevention Project Committee of National Health Commission was launched in Hefei, Anhui province. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received the honorary title of Five-star Advanced Stroke Center again. Associate Professor Cao Hongmei from Department of Neurology of our hospital won the Outstanding Young and Middle-aged Expert Award of China Stroke Prevention Project.

On the evening of November 26, Professor Han Jianfeng from Department of Neurology and Assistant-to-President of our hospital delivered a presentation regarding Arterial Thrombosis Removal Training Base of China on behalf of our hospital, which received unanimous recognition from the host and audience. At the awarding ceremony on November 27, our hospital was successfully selected as Intravenous Thrombolysis for Stroke Training Base of China (30 training bases nationwide and the only training base in Northwest China) and Arterial Thrombosis Removal Training Base of China (30 training bases nationwide and the only training base in Northwest China), signifying that the work in the prevention and treatment of stroke and the training capability on appropriate techniques for stroke of our hospitalhave received nationwide recognition, and also indicating that our hospital will assume the heavy responsibility of training on prevention and treatment of stroke in the northwest region.

At present, our hospital has grabbed multiple honorary titles related to Stroke Prevention Project including Advanced Stroke Center, National Stroke Center Training Base, Demonstration Advanced Stroke Center of China, Five-star Advanced Stroke Center, Demonstration Center of National Stroke Center, Intravenous Thrombolysis for Stroke Training Base of China and Arterial Thrombosis Removal Training Base of China,etc. Our hospital will also continue to cooperate with all affiliations in the northwest region, provide assistance in the construction of stroke centers and jointly work on the construction of Stroke Rescue and Treatment Network System in Northwest China.
