On the morning of September 28, 2020 (Beijing time), the Online Conference of the Association of North East Asia Regional (NEAR) Governments organized by the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Government of Russia and the Secretariat of the Association of NEAR Governments was held. In total, 111 participants from 32 local governments in China, Japan, Russia and Mongolia attended the online conference, and exchanged and discussed new ways of international relationship development in the post-pandemic world. Li Fengli, Director of Asian and African Affairs Department of Shaanxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Shi Bingyin, President of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Assistant-to-President She Junjun, and Ren Hui, Deputy Director of International Exchange Office, attended the online conference in Science and Education Building.
The online conference was presided over by Kirilin, Minister of Foreign Relationship and Ethnic Affairs Department of the Sakha Republic of Russia. Sergienko Mikhail, Deputy Prime Minister of the Sakha Republic of Russia delivered a welcome speech.
During the conference, Sergienko Mikhail, Deputy Prime Minister of the Sakha Republic of Russia shared the work of education during and after the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Sakha Republic. Chilkhaa Oyunaa, Director of Health Bureau of Dornod Province of Mongolia, introduced the current situation of COVID-19 prevention in Dornod Province of Mongolia. Rhee Yong IL, Ambassador of International Relationship of Sejong of South Korea, introduced the development plan of smart cities to enhance citizens' sense of happiness in the post-pandemic era. Kireeva Ekaterina, Chief Director of Economic Development Department of Amur State of Russia, introduced the implementation of international projects in Amur State during COVID-19 pandemic. Han Jae-Sung, Director of Diplomacy and Trading in Gyeongsangbuk-do of South Korea, illustrated the export priority policy in the post-pandemic era.
Shi Bingyin, President of our hospital, delivered a presentation entitled "Helping the global fight against COVID-19 pandemic, Building a community of common health for mankind", mainly introducing the remarkable achievement in the treatment of COVID-19 patients under different settings, the valuable anti-COVID-19 experience accumulated and summarized in the prevention, containing and treatment of COVID-19, and international exchanges and cooperation in the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic conducted by our hospital. He stressed that the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU has accumulated abundant experience in treating COVID-19 patients and prevention and containing of the pandemic. We’re glad to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with NEAR members, share the "China’s regime" and the "regime of the First Affiliated Hospital of XJTU", and provide corresponding assistance.
The Association of NEARGovernments is an international organization founded in September 1996 by 29 provincial governments from China, Japan, South Korea and Russia. The secretariat is located in Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea. Shaanxi Province officially joined the Association in 2016.
