The 14th annual conference of China Hospital CEO, organized by China Hospital CEO magazine and China Hospital CEO network, was grandly held from September 25 to 27, 2020. The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) received the Star Award for the 6th Best Hospital Management Team of China in 2020. President Shi Bingyin, Assistant-to-President Han Jianfeng, Ma Xin, Executive Deputy Director of Communist Party Office and Vice President of East Division, Chen Rui, Executive Director of Binzhou Division and Wu Dapeng, Vice President of East Division received the award on behalf of our hospital.
With the theme of "COVID-19 situation, Changing situation and New situation", this "extraordinary" annual conference was held in the mode of offline+online. CEO of top-notched domestic hospitals and prestigious experts in the field of medicine gathered to make modest contribution to the development and revolution of the health industry at this critical moment. During the session of Top Talk themed "Changing situation: gaining momentum and seeking innovation", President Shi Bingyin joined the discussion and delivered a speech entitled "Thinking on hospital alliance in urban and rural areas in the post-epidemic era". President Shi Bingyin mainly introduced innovative attempts and practices in hospital medical cooperation system, construction and development of hospital alliance, hospital trusteeship system and counterpart assistance to primary hospitals, aiming to properly resolve the serious shortage of medical resources in grass-root hospitals.
Vice President Ma Xiancang gave a special report entitled "Innovation leads and boosts high-quality development of health care services", mainly emphasized a series of work completed by our hospital in building a first-class scientific research platform to improve the level of clinical research, establishing a multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment platform to enhance the diagnostic and therapeutic capability for complex diseases, strengthening clinical research capability and achieving the translation from basic research into clinical outcome, especially the innovative attempts and pioneering technological achievements in the combined field of medicine and engineering. He shared the responsibility and outstanding contributions of medical staff from our hospital who sacrificed their personal safety in the fight against COVID-19 in Xi 'an and Wuhan. Vice President Ma Xiancang also participated in a round-table discussion on how to achieve a win-win situation of efficiency and quality under DRG. He stressed that DRG is not only a reform in payment, but also an important tool to achieve refined hospital management, which can achieve strategic goals through performance-oriented management. The performance-oriented management system can promote the reform of a wide range of core systems, which not only promotes refined hospital management, but also improvespatients’ experience and better serves their medical needs.
