On the morning of May 29, the launch ceremony for the 100-day countdown to the 70th anniversary of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was held at the Land Port Division. At the ceremony, the FAH officially released its exclusive IP character “Xian Yiyi” and unveiled the anniversary countdown board.
Lyu Yi, President of the FAH, and Ma Xinge, Secretary of the FAH Party Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. Vice President Wang Yafeng, Assistant to the President Ma Xin, outstanding alumni representatives, heads of relevant functional departments, staff representatives from different posts, and media representatives gathered at the venue to witness this important moment. The ceremony was presided over by Feng Guanglin, Deputy Secretary of the FAH Party Committee.
At the ceremony, President Lyu Yi delivered a mobilization speech. He reviewed the FAH’s achievements over the past 70 years and introduced the current progress in the development of the National Medical Center and coordinated development across multiple divisions. He emphasized that the 100-day countdown to the anniversary had entered the practical implementation stage. He called on all FAH staff to take responsibility, carry forward the FAH’s legacy, forge ahead, make every effort to ensure the success of the anniversary activities, and contribute to the high-quality development of the FAH and the establishment of the National Medical Center.
The high-profile release of the FAH’s exclusive IP character “Xian Yiyi” became a highlight of the ceremony. The themed animated video Seventy Years of Advancing Together on the Path of Medicine was officially released at the event. The adorable “Xian Yiyi” mascot appeared on site and interacted warmly with attendees, creating a cordial and lively atmosphere.
Subsequently, FAH leaders, alumni representatives, and department representatives went on stage together to unveil the 70th anniversary countdown board.
Secretary Ma Xinge delivered a concluding speech. He stated that the launch ceremony for the 100-day countdown paid tribute to the FAH’s 70-year journey and marked a new commitment to future development, with preparations for the anniversary now entering the final sprint. He required all departments to coordinate their work, advance division renovation and cultural development, uphold standards, work closely together, and make every effort to ensure the success of the anniversary activities and benefit the public. Taking this as a new starting point, the whole FAH will pool its strength to tackle key tasks and promote the FAH’s development to new heights.
After the ceremony, FAH leaders led teams to visit clinical departments and service-window departments, presenting staff members with “Xian Yiyi” cultural and creative gifts.
