On the morning of November 20, Mi Feng, Deputy Director of Department of Publicity of National Health Commission led a delegation of Cao Dan, Chief Clerk of Department of Publicity, Zhang Xiaodan and Qu Shuli, Cadre of Department of Publicity to deliver an inspection to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Zhao Lan, Deputy Director of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Xue Han, Director of Department of Science, Education and Publicity of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Shi Bingyin, President of our hospital, Ma Xinge, Secretary of Party Committee of our hospital, Han Ju, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of our hospital, Zou Yuliang, Assistant to President and leaders of relevant departments attended the meeting, which was presided over by Secretary Ma Xinge.
On behalf of the hospital, President Shi Bingyin warmly welcomed Deputy Director Mi Feng and his delegation to deliver an inspection and guidance to our hospital. He also introduced the overall situation, historical background and reform, talent cultivation, disciplinary characteristics and scientific platform, and major tasks of our hospital in recent years.
Deputy Secretary Han Ju delivered a publicity work report of our hospital from the following five perspectives including ideological and political education, publicity work, cultural construction work, role model cultivation work and health education work. She mainly introduced the personal advanced deeds of Professor Yin Peipu and illustrated the publicity, promotion and experience of the construction of humane hospital. She highly appreciated the support from National Health Commission and Health Commission of Shaanxi Province to our hospital and looked forward to receiving more guidance to continually improve the publicity level of our hospital. Besides, She also gave a work report regarding the preliminary investigation and preparation of ‘Good Chinese Doctors, Good Chinese Nurses’ by our hospital, which is organized by National Health Commission.
Secretary Ma Xinge stated that the party committee of our hospital attaches great importance to publicity work and establishes Publicity Department and Liaison Department to achieve seamless connection between internal and external publicity. The party committee has a strong sense of political position and holds secretary office meeting to learn the national health policy, pinpoint the right direction and guide the publicity work. The party committee also promotes the work of the center by strengthening publicity, core quality, outer image and systematic planning. Our hospital also launches innovative publicity work in a variety of forms for health education, such as ‘Live a healthy life’ with Shaanxi TV 3, Patient Support Group and new media publicity,etc.
In his speech, Deputy Director Mi Feng shared his experience in publicity work in the health industry. Publicity work in the health industry should adhere to the decision-making and deployment on the health industry by central government, attach importance to cultural construction, role model cultivation, health education, the livelihood of hospital staff, and represent the people-centered ideology. Party Committee in public hospitals should attach great importance to publicity work and fully understand that publicity work plays a pivotal role in party construction work for public hospitals. Besides, public hospitals should understand the significance of cultural construction, pass down the spirit of old-generation role models and build up new role models. Public hospitals should recognize the opportunities and challenges that 5G era brings to the publicity work in hospitals and lay out the plans in a timely manner, realize new and urgent characteristics of news media publicity and public opinion disposal, especially the ideological preparation and measures for public opinion disposal.
Subsequently, Secretary Ma Xinge expressed that Deputy Director Mi Feng's speech is earnest, understandable, full of care and love for our hospital, especially his unique thoughts on cultural and system construction in public hospitals, providing significant guidance upon the publicity work in our hospital.
Later, Deputy Director Mi Feng and his delegation delivered an on-the-spot investigation and inspection to our hospital.
