On May 23, 2025, the 4th "Heart Club-International Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Training Course" hosted by Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) successfully concluded. At the graduation ceremony, cardiovascular surgeons from The Mission Hospital in India, appreciated Director Yan Yang and Director Li Yongxin in charge of the training course with "CharanSparsh", the highest etiquette in India.

The training course comprised three teaching modes including systemic theoretical teaching, challenging surgical demonstration and complicated case discussion, comprehensively demonstrating China’s latest achievements in the field of minimally invasive cardiac surgery to four physicians from Bucheon Sejong Hospital and Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital in South Korea and The Mission Hospital in India.




Trainees from India shared their feelings: "From the basic operation of minimally invasive cardiac surgery to valve treatment during David's procedure, Director Yan Yang's team demonstrated incredible technical levels. I think this is the most amazing team worldwide, especially for minimally invasive David’s procedure!" Indian trainees have immediately recommended this training course to their Indian counterparts. Korean trainees also highly recognized the training session.
In this training course, Professor Kikuchi Keita, a prestigious Japanese expert in minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting and a visiting professor in Department of Cardiovascular Surgery of FAH, participated in the teaching course, which further strengthened international influence.

Professor Yan Yang, Director of Department of Cardiovascular Surgery in FAH, illustrated that since the launch of International Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery Training Course, 15 cardiovascular surgeons from Asia-Pacific countries such as Japan, South Korea, Brunei and Indonesia have attended the training program. The training course not only demonstrates China's international leading position in the field of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, but also establishes an important platform for promoting international medical exchanges.
