On the afternoon of April 23rd,2025, Li Yang, the Director of the Department of Career Development and Alumni Affairs, engaged in an exchange and learning session with health management and medical personnel from Osh Oblast, Kyrgyzstan, focusing on the medical alliance and medical community development of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU).

The discussion centered on FAH’s innovative practices in hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system and regional medical resource integration. Key highlights included the medical community and medical alliance's achievements in enhancing grassroots medical service capabilities, optimizing medical service processes, and promoting medical collaboration.

Subsequently, the delegation visited member units of the Yantan Division Medical Alliance, where the experts of FAH provide regular consultations, conduct medical tours, and offer general practitioner training, achieving "one-stop" services for chronic disease management and common disease treatment. As the first urban medical alliance pilot project in Shaanxi Province, they implemented a mechanism of "primary consultation at the grassroots level, two-way referrals, and separation of acute and chronic treatment," which allows chronic disease patients to remain in community care while Grade III Class-A hospitals focus on complex and severe cases.

Finally, Director Li Yang emphasized that the FAH will leverage its profound foundation and outstanding capabilities, fully utilize its leading advantages in the medical field, closely collaborate with medical partners in Central Asia, rely on cutting-edge international medical alliance models, continuously advance medical undertakings, deepen international cooperation, introduce advanced technologies, and contribute more strength to regional medical and health development.
