The conference was jointly organized by the International Inter-Professional Wound Care Group (IIWCG) and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), and was held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC). With the theme "Patient-Centered Customized Evidence-Based Care", the conference attracted over 800 interdisciplinary experts from more than 50 countries globally. The conference covered cutting-edge wound care technologies, evidence-based practices, multidisciplinary collaboration, and innovative research, including hot topics such as diabetic foot management, psychological intervention for cancer wounds, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and development of new wound dressings. The Chinese delegation consisted of 19 participants.

Qiao Lina presented a case study entitled The Patient with Jejunostomy and Full-Thickness Abdominal Wound Dehiscence and Jin Xianzhen presented the paper entitled The Incidence of Pressure Injuries at a Hospital in China from 2010 to 2022: An Epidemiological Study in separate conference sessions. Our hospital was the only institution with two articles presented, which enhanced the academic influence of our wound and ostomy specialty nursing work and strengthened opportunities for international academic exchange.
