On March 22, 2025, the 3rd general meeting of Professional Committee of Nuclear Medicine of Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) was held both online and in-person in Xi'an. Professor Yu Jinming, Chairman of CSCO, delivered online guidance. Professor Yin Yongmei, Vice Chairman of CSCO, attended the general meeting in-person. A total of 90 experts from more than 80 large-scale tertiary hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Zhejiang and other provinces and cities were elected as new committee members.
The general meeting was chaired by Liu Ling, Director of CSCO Office. Professor Lin Yansong from Peking Union Medical College, Chairman of the 2nd Professional Committee, reviewed key work of the 2nd Professional Committee. Wang Renfei, Secretary-General of the Professional Committee, reported on the procedures of preparatory work for the re-election.
Director Liu Ling read out the re-election general terms of Regulations on the Administration of CSCO Professional Committees and CSOC approval for the re-election. Subsequently, Professor Yang Aimin from the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), Chairman-designate of the 3rd Professional Committee of Nuclear Medicine of CSCO, delivered a campaign speech.
After secret ballot by all experts and vote counting, Professor Yang Aimin was unanimously elected as Chairman of the 3rd Professional Committee. Seven professors including Professor Lin Chenghe from the First Hospital of Jilin University were elected as Vice Chairman. A total of 17 experts including Professor Chen Wenxin from Fujian Provincial Hospital were elected as the Standing Committee members. Professor Gao Rui from FAH was elected as the Standing Committee member and Secretary-General. Professor Yin Yongmei read out the voting results.
Vice Chairman Yin Yongmei delivered a congratulatory speech for successful re-election of the Professional Committee of Nuclear Medicine, hoping that under persistent guidance of Chairman Yang Aimin, the Professional Committee will make greater contributions to the application of nuclear medicine in the field of tumor diagnosis and treatment and strengthen China’s influence of nuclear medicine on the international stage.
Ma Xinge, Party Secretary of FAH, delivered a speech, congratulating the election of Director Yang Aimin as Chairman. FAH will persistently support the work of the Professional Committee of Nuclear Medicine, provide all-round guarantee and look forward to jointly writing a new chapter in the development of nuclear medicine.
In the session of academic lecture after the general meeting, the participating experts carried out in-depth discussion on how to achieve integrated clinical application of nuclear medicine diagnosis and treatment through multidisciplinary cooperation, which fully showcases the disciplinary characteristics of multidisciplinary integration and development of nuclear medicine.
