From February 21 to 22, 2025, the kick-off meeting (Yan'an sub-center) of clinical trial project entitled "Remote ischemic conditioning in atherosclerosis-related acute moderate cerebral infarction", a National Million Disability Reduction Project, jointly initiated by Ji Xunming, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Professor Han Jianfeng, Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), was held in Yan'an. Dr. Shang Suhang from FAH led the project team to conduct on-site quality control on pre-trial cases in three sub-centers of Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital, Yan'an People's Hospital and Zichang People's Hospital, and officially started clinical trial enrollment in Yan'an.

On February 21 and 22, the kick-off meeting was held in Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital, Yan'an People's Hospital and Zichang People's Hospital, respectively. Shang Suhang explicitly introduced the research protocol. Wu Yanru, head of data quality control team, interpreted the screening enrollment process and division of responsibilities. Geng Yufei from FAH shared frequent problems in the pre-trial. Wu Yanru delivered feedbacks on the on-site quality control results.
Professor Dong Zhiyan from Yan'an University Affiliated Hospital, Professor Shi Qian from Yan'an People's Hospital and Professor Zhang Liting from Zichang People's Hospital offered in-depth analysis of the screening enrollment process and difficulties in each sub-center, respectively. Professor Shi Qiang, Professor Fan Baiya and Professor Jing Runting from three hospitals summarized the problems existing in the pre-trial cases in corresponding sub-center.



During the 2-day kick-off meeting, the project team conducted in-depth exchanges with experts from various sub-centers and obtained effective solutions for existing problems and difficulties. The quality of pre-trial cases in each sub-center can be guaranteed. All sub-centers can strictly implement the research protocol, and no major violation event is identified.
