Recently, the second batch of trainees from Mzuzu Central Hospital in Malawi arrived in Xi'an, China. Four trainees in this batch consisted of Deputy Director of Clinical Laboratory, Deputy Director of Department of Radiology and radiologists from Mzuzu Central Hospital.
After proper settlement of daily life, trainees immediately started to receive training in respective departments of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). Trainers from Clinical Laboratory, Department of Radiology and Department of Ultrasound of FAH introduced the profile of each department to all trainees, helped them to register relevant study accounts, and determined personalized study protocols with the trainees according to previous communication.

This batch of trainees will receive professional training in FAH for 3 to 6 months. They will learn the latest progress in relevant medical fields through in-depth exchanges with medical experts from FAH, and master corresponding medical technologies and administration experience, thereby improving their levels of medical technologies.
After returning to Malawi, the first-batch 5 trainees from Mzuzu Central Hospital actively shared what they had learned in FAH and applied them to medical practice. After the arrival of the second-batch 4 trainees, the training task for trainees from Mzuzu Central Hospital in China is successfully completed. Through face-to-face teaching, on-the-spot investigation and immersive study, FAH is committed to training a group of Malawi medical staff and medical teams for Clinical Laboratory and Department of Radiology of Mzuzu Central Hospital who can apply Chinese technologies to treat local patients, bringing health benefits for more African patients.
