From July 25 to 27, 2024, the 20^th Shanghai International Forum for Infection Control and Prevention (SIFIC) in conjunction with the 8^th Oriental Forum on Challenging Infectious Diseases (OFCID) and the academic conference of Global Chinese Association of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases were grandly held in Shanghai International Convention Center. With the theme of "Precision Diagnosis and Treatment, Precision Prevention and Control", this conference brought together Chinese and international experts and scholars in different fields, such as infectious diseases, clinical microbiology, application and management of antibacterial drugs, and jointly explored novel paths for infection control and diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

The submitted manuscripts consist of journal publication, oral presentation and poster presentation. Chen Ping from Infection Control Office of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was invited to attend the conference. Under the guidance of Ye Feng, Director of Infection Control Office, academic leader Li Baozhen, Deputy Director Li Qian and Wang Xiaoyan, Chen Ping contributed a poster presentation entitled "Investigation and analysis of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus patients in ICU from a tertiary teaching hospital", which outshined among all submitted posters and showcased FAH's professional knowledge and outstanding teamwork capability in infection prevention and control.
