From April 13 to 14, the "2nd International Conference of Magnetic Surgery in conjunction with Training Meeting of Clinical Application of Magnetic Surgery Technology" with the theme of "Magnetic Surgery Creates Miracles" was grandly held in Xi 'an, China. Professor Lyu Yi delivered a keynote speech entitled "Concept, connotation, practice and development path of magnetic surgery".
In the keynote speech, Professor Lyu Yi profoundly discussed the development direction of magnetic surgery. Experts from all over the world also delivered special lectures in different fields. Zhang Xin, Research Fellow, Professor Vitalii Zablotskii, Professor Boris Polyak, Professor Gu Ning, Professor Shang Peng and Professor Fan Haiming delivered keynote speeches entitled "Long-term biological effect of static magnetic field", "Life in magnetic world: focus on magnetic surgery", "Magnetic cell therapy accelerates healing of injured arteries", "Magnetic medical treatment mediated by iron oxide nanoparticles", "Effect of static magnetic field on skeletal system" and "Application of FVIO-mediated magnetic nano-therapy in cancer medicine", respectively. Professor Yuan Shiwen, Research Fellow Liu Jianhua, and Manager Gao Xingjie gave keynotes speeches on the application of magnetic navigation in cardiac surgery.
Besides, Professor Hu Bing, Professor Shi Yuan, Professor Sun Hao, Research Fellow Zhang Xufeng, and Associate Professor Liu Shiqi delivered keynote speeches entitled "Endoscopy: minimum effort, maximum effect", "Fusion of magnetic force and elastic force", "Application of magnetic compression anastomosis in benign biliary tract stenosis", "Magnetic biliary-intestinal anastomosis" and "Application of magnetic anastomosis to achieve suture-less anastomosis of rectal atresia and preserve rectal function", respectively.
