From July 4 to July 7, the 33rd National Academic Conference on Hospital Infections was held in Hainan. The conference, themed "Excellent Infection Control Team, Moving Forward as One," closely followed the forefront of international discipline development, actively advocated and promoted multidisciplinary cooperation, enhanced China's academic level of infection control, promoted high-quality development in medical quality for healthcare institutions, and effectively ensured the safety of both patients and healthcare providers.

This year's conference featured a pre-conference session on "New Perspectives & In-Depth Readings of Outstanding Domestic and International Papers," with 15 selected papers from across the country being presented. Under the guidance of Department Director Ye Feng, Discipline Leader Li Baozhen, and Deputy Director Li Qian, Zhou Rui and Yang Xiaopei from our hospital's Medical Affairs Department's Infection Control Office stood out in the submission process. They each delivered reports titled "Unveiling Bloodstream Infections: Can Appropriate Empirical Treatment Rewrite the Fate of Patients with Bloodstream Infections?" and "Are Handwashing Sinks the True Culprit Behind Multidrug-Resistant Bacteria Outbreaks?" Their presentations showcased the Infection Control Team's professional expertise and excellent demeanor.

Our hospital's infection control efforts have achieved notable results in practice, grassroots management, and scientific research. The Infection Control Team will continue to prioritize medical safety, bravely explore and innovate, create infection control value, and enhance the development of the infection control discipline. They are committed to continuously contributing to the construction of national medical centers and the high-quality development of hospitals.
