From July 4 to 6, 2024, the high-level international conference on digestive endoscopy, ENDO-2024, was held in Seoul, South Korea. Magnetic surgery team of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University, including Associate Research professor Yan Xiaopeng, doctoral student Zhang Miaomiao, and Xu Shuqin, were invited to participate and showcase the team's latest research achievements.

This three-day conference gathered approximately 3,000 digestive endoscopy experts and scholars from around the world, making it a premier academic event in the field of digestive endoscopy. During the conference, magnetic surgery team of the FAH presented six research results, making them the only team focused on clinical innovation in magnetic surgery among the attendees.

The team reported the independently designed and developed Deformable Self-Assembling Magnetic Anastomosis Ring (DSAMAR). Professor Dongki Lee, an expert in magnetic compression anastomosis for biliary stricture from Yonsei University in South Korea, personally experienced the deformable self-assembly process of DSAMAR and highly praised its ingenious design concept, as well as the rapid transition from design to clinical application.

Additionally, student Zhang Miaomiao was awarded the Best Abstract Award at this conference.
