On March 29-30, "the 4^th China-US Hospital Management Symposium in conjunction with the 1^st C3 China-US Healthcare Summit" was held in Beijing. President Shi Bingyin of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University was invited to attend the symposium and deliver a keynote speech.

The 4^th China-US Hospital Management Symposium in conjunction with the 1^st C3 China-US Healthcare Summit was co-organized by the Health Human Resources Development Center of National Health Commission of China and the C3 Health Summit of U.S. The meeting mainly focused on the trend of medicine globalization, hospital construction and personnel training, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and innovations, medical investment and artificial intelligence,etc., aimed to promote the share, co-construction, win-win and strengthen the communication and cooperation between China and U.S.at different levels of medicine, education, industry, study, research, finance and application.

Mr. TeryE.Branstad, U.S. Ambassador to China, Zhan Qimin, Director of Peking University Health Science Center, Zhang Junhua, Deputy Director of Health Human Resources Development Center of National Health Commission of China, healthcare experts, hospital management leaders from National Institutes of Health, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital and other top scientific research institutions and medical centers from the U.S. and non-governmental organizations, and the domestic colleagues in the field of medical healthcare attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of March 29, President Shi Bingyin was invited to deliver a keynote speech entitled "Science, Technology and Culture Exchange for Building a Healthy Community in the Future". He shared the brilliant achievements since China's reform and opening-up in the past 40 years with the guests. Besides, President Shi also reviewed the history of medical development of Xi' an Jiaotong University and the fruitful accomplishments via international cooperation and exchange, including becoming the English training base approved by the Ministry of Health, establishing the China-US Operation Heart Beat team, and cooperating and exchanging with China Medical Board,etc. Meantime, he also highlighted the cooperation and exchange between our hospital and the U.S. counterparts in recent years, such as the establishment of Precision Medicine Center and the Sino-US Cardiovascular Cooperative Hospital,etc. President Shi expected that China and U.S. could establish a broader platform and deepen bilateral cooperation and exchanges, aiming to make more fruitful achievements and jointly build a healthy community in the future.

Subsequently, President Shi participated in a round table discussion with the theme of "Feasible Solutions for Collaborative Cooperation in Telemedicine between China and U.S. and Globalization and Collaboration of Medical Healthcare" and delivered in-depth discussions on the Sino-US Telemedicine cooperation with Dr. Winston Patrick Kuo, Co-Chairman of C3 Health Summit, Mr. Michael Bierl, President of Strategic Alliances and Global Services of New York- Presbyterian Hospital, Chen Zhengying, Secretary General of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and Dr. Jeffrey Golden, Chairman of Pathology Department of Brigham and Women's Hospital.
