On March 7, 2019, the staff from Kidney Transplantation Department successfully performed 10 cases of kidney transplantation, including 1 case of kidney transplantation from a living donor relative.

From March 6 to 7, organ donation coordinators in Xi 'an and Ankang successively found 4 potential kidney donors, which started the overnight work of the transplantation team. Immediately after receiving the organ donation information, the director of Kidney Transplantation Department delivered strict and explicit surgical arrangements. Transplantation surgeons, organ donation coordinators, staff from kidney transplantation laboratory and nursing staff performed their respective duties and intimately collaborated with each other. All the procedures proceeded smoothly and orderly. From 8: 00 a.m. to 24: 00 p.m. on March 7, with the understanding and assistance from Operating Room, Anesthesia Department and other departments, Kidney Transplantation Department successfully accomplished 10 cases of renal transplantation, including 1 case of kidney transplantation from a living donor relative.

Currently, all the recipients are gradually recovered after kidney transplantation.
