From April 19 to 25, 2024, the Second Shanghai Oriental International Infectious Diseases Week in conjunction with NMCID (Shanghai) Cooperation Forum, initiated by Professor Zhang Wenhong, were held in Shanghai. "Oriental International Infectious Diseases Week" is one of the most influential academic meetings in the field of infectious diseases in China, and it is also a critical platform for integrating research strength, displaying the latest research results, promoting clinical translation and driving innovative disciplinary development in China.

In the clinical thinking training camp of difficult infectious diseases, Professor He Yingli and Professor Ren Danfeng from Department of Infectious Diseases of the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) delivered case presentation entitled "Complicated diagnosis and treatment for a patient with difficult fever" as the first speakers. Professor He Yingli also served as the team tutor of this session. The first case presentation in domestic highest level meeting of difficult infectious diseases reflects the rigorous thinking and abundant experience of Department of Infectious Diseases of FAH in diagnosis and treatment of difficult fever, which have been recognized by the experts and scholars nationwide. Department of Infectious Diseases of FAH has accumulated abundant clinical experience in diagnosis and treatment of difficult fever for over 10 years, and has become a referral center for fever patients in western region covering over 10 provinces and cities.


Department of Infectious Diseases of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University is a National Medical Center, and Professor Zhang Wenhong serves as Director of the center. Department of Infectious Diseases of FAH is a National Regional Medical Center. This meeting reflects the coordination between National Medical Center and National Regional Medical Center of infectious diseases. In subsequent disciplinary development, bilateral sides will continually strengthen communication and promote academic cooperation and exchange, laying a solid foundation for discipline construction.
