On March 15, 2024, under the leadership of Vice President She Junjun, a delegate comprising 7 heads from relevant departments including Teaching Department, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Human Resources, Discipline Construction Office, and International Exchange and Cooperation Center, visited Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital and the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine successively, aiming to learn and exchange valuable experiences and practices of international exchanges and cooperation in the affiliated hospitals of Zhejiang University.
In the morning, Vice President She Junjun and his colleagues visited the Outpatient Hall, Comprehensive Service Center, Outpatient Pharmacy and International Medical Center of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital successively to learn about the resource centralized management mode and the construction of intelligent one-stop service platform.
Subsequently, Zhan Yilei, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, explicitly introduced the history, development status and international development level of Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. Bilateral sides delivered in-depth discussion regarding how to accelerate international exchange and cooperation in medicine, teaching, research and administration between two hospitals.
In the afternoon, the delegates were invited to visit the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Wang Zhikang, party committee member of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University/Executive Vice President of Zhejiang University branch, Yang Mingli, Director of International Exchange Office, and heads of relevant administrative departments attended the exchange meeting. At the meeting, Executive Vice President Wang Zhikang illustrated the development history, objectives, medical service capacity, talent team construction and scientific research level of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University. Director Yang Mingli delivered a speech entitled "I need the world, and the world needs me", exploration and practice of globalized development strategy for hospitals, describing the development process of international exchange in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University, as well as the outstanding achievements in promoting international telemedicine, joint training, scientific research cooperation and diagnosis and treatment services, etc.
Vice President She Junjun highlighted that the delegates received fruitful learning from this visit, hoping to continually learn from the affiliated hospitals of Zhejiang University. He also required the delegates apply what they have learned, thought and impressed into the practical work of promoting international development of our hospital, better lay out and plan international exchange and cooperation work, drive the construction of National Medical Center, and make due contributions to global development of medical and health undertakings.
