In order to improve the neurophysiological diagnosis and treatment technology and promote the development of new medical technologies of neuroelectrophysiology, the Neurology Department ofthe First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University is honored to invite Professor Sanjeev to come to the hospital to guide neuroelectrophysiological work.
Professor Sanjeev gave a patient explanation and demonstration of single fiber electromyography (EMG), motor unit potential counting, blink reflex, tremor analysis, trigeminal evoked potential, sacral nerve detection in ICU patients, etc. As we know that single fiber EMG is mainly used for the diagnosis of neuromuscular junction diseases, compensating for the low sensitivity of repeated electrical stimulation to MG patients. The motor unit potential counting can be used to dynamically observe the effectiveness of treatment of motor neuron diseases and other axonal peripheral nerve diseases. Unfortunately, this examination is currently only studied and tested by Belgian professors. Thanks to the demonstration and teaching of Professor Sanjeev, the neuroelectrophysiology physicians at theNeurology Departmenthave mastered the above diagnostic techniques and will carry out the work as soon as possible to assist clinicians in diagnosis.
