2023 Annual Meeting of Health Data Application Management Committee of Chinese Hospital Association was held in the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) from November 10 to 12, 2023. Dong Erdan, Member of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Professor of Yan Yuan Ren He Education Organization, Tian Jiazheng, Vice President of Chinese Hospital Association, Peng Fei, Deputy Director of Health Commission of Shaanxi Province, Chen Teng, Standing Committee Member of Party Committee of XJTU and Party Secretary of Medical Department, Li Lei, Vice President of the FAH of XJTU attended the meeting and delivered speeches, respectively. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Shi Bingyin from the FAH of XJTU.

In the keynote speech session, Professor Zhang Luxia from Peking University gave a lecture entitled Health data science assists the management of major diseases. Dong Erdan delivered a speech entitled Traction and driving force of medical scientific research. Professor Jin Hai from Huazhong University of Science and Technology contributed a speech entitled Graph computing accelerates scientific research. Professor Shi Bingyin delivered a presentation entitled Opportunities and challenges of Internet-based health in China. Qian Buyue, Director of Information Department of Beijing Chaoyang Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University, gave a lecture entitled Physician-centered health service for patients. Wang Daojun, Vice President of Ankang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, gave a speech entitled Exploration and application of big-data analysis in medical quality management. Liang Zhigang, Director of Information Center of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, delivered a lecture entitled Practice of smart hospital construction in Xuanwu Hospital. Fu Chunyu, Director of Information Department of Shanghai General Hospital discussed the topic of Analysis of construction of smart hospitals out of technical thinking box. Experts showcased cutting-edge application of big data and related technologies in the field of health care from different perspectives.

During the summit forum, experts delivered panel discussion regarding how to use informatization and big data to establish a sustainable, credible, online and in-person patient management system and specialized patient management system, and the significance of promoting industry specialization, clinical standardization and service sustainability. Feng Song, Director of Network Information Center of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, Dong Henglei, Director of Internet Hospital Office of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital, Zhao Peng, Director of Smart Hospital Construction Department of the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University, Liu Ling, Director of Career Development Department of the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, and Wang Aidong, Director of Information Center of Rizhao Hospital affiliated to Qingdao University were invited for sharing and exchanges.

This conference gathers high-quality resources from the industry and the wisdom of experts and scholars to comprehensively and deeply explore current situation of smart hospital construction in China under new situation and profound changes caused by widespread application of big data to the health mode. Through exploration and practice, useful experience that can be replicated and applied has been accumulated, aiming to provide Chinese people with better and more efficient full-life cycle health services, and make contributions to the construction of Healthy China and improving health literacy of Chinese people.
