From August 4 to 6, 2023, the Western Forum of Neonatology-Youth Forum of Neonatal Case Report and Discussion Conference in conjunction with National Neonatology Prevention and Healthcare Forum 2023 was held in Yinchuan. This conference aimed to promote the understanding, theory and increase in professional technical level of diseases in young physicians of Neonatology and Pediatrics, and promote the development of children’s Health.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Director Qiu Yinping, Ningxia Medical University General Hospital, and Gu Jie, President of Yinchuan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital. Professor Liu Li from the First Affiliated Hospital (FAH) of Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), consultant of Neonatologist Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and former vice chairman of Children’s Health Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, presented a welcome speech.

Attending experts participated in the launching ceremony of Wu Jieping Medical Foundation - Weisheng Child Health Research Fund. Professor Liu Li, the founder of the fund, announced official launch of the foundation. Chen Linjun, deputy secretary-general of Wu Jieping Medical Foundation and director of the Department of Minister of Science and Technology, on behalf of the foundation, introduced the background, preparation process, basic information and future work priorities of the foundation.

According to the constitution of the Neonatologist Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association , the Prevention and Health Commission held a general election meeting on August 3. In the First National Neonatology Prevention and Healthcare Forum, experts presented a Specialty Lecture on prevention and healthcare of newborns, including follow up management after discharge, definition and prevention of ectopic growth restriction, vaccination and neurodevelopment and promotion after discharge of premature.

Western Forum of Neonatology-Youth Forum of Neonatal Case Report and Discussion Conference received uniform commendation from colleagues nationwide. Young physicians prepared various clinically difficult and complicated cases carefully. Comments from prestigious experts nationwide provided both basic knowledge and clinical experience, which were beneficial to all participants.
